Wednesdays spotlight

Todays spotlight is:  PetalnPearlBoutique

Hi, Thanks so much. Our shop is PetalnPearlboutique and the birth of my little one Belle inspired me! She will be one in October and she is my first girl after two boys and I wanted to have some beautiful pieces for photography shoots with her so I started shopping etsy and I thought "I can do this" It really got my creativity flowing again since I have been working as a labor and delivery nurse for the last few years. Plus massage therapy, lactation counceling and birth doula, I had put aside creating with my hands for several years. Now the floodgates have opened! My friend Jen and I inspire each other and our daughters are our beautiful models! Here are a few pieces we love!

Etsy shop feature

Wednesdays Etsy shop feature is: Experience

1) I was inspired to start Experience Designs in the summer of 2008. It was then that I discovered Etsy, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it. I had always enjoyed making jewelry, and when I saw the amazing resin works that various shops had, I started research immediately. Pretty soon I had watched all the Youtube videos I could find regarding resin work and the next time I went out to Micheal's and bought my first molds and other resin supplies. From there it was a whirlwind of experimentation and imagination to get where I am today.

2) I want to go everywhere in the world! However, if I have to limit myself to one place I would have to sell somewhere in Europe. I've always been interested in traveling there, and there is so much to do and see regarding the art world.

3) I'm currently most proud of a resin necklace I made using white resin and little, pink candy spheres. Here is the link: www.etsy.com/listing/74057147/elegant-kawaii-pink-dots-candy-sprinkles

4) I am a student at the University of Georgia and I'm majoring in studio art with an emphasis in jewelry and metalworking. I have a feeling I'll never be done with resin, but pretty soon, my shop will be full of brand new designs made with metal! This is a really exciting time for Experience Designs. :)

Random Monday

So life has been tough, schools starting to kick my butt, and I feel bad for never updating my blog.  But I will try to more often.  I really need to make myself a schedule and keep to it.

Other than that, hope everyone is doing well :)

Wednesdays Spotlight

I know, I have fialed horribly at keeping this thing updated.  But now I have two people to feature, one this week and one next week, hopefully this will keep me on track for a minute.

This weeks feature: Beanstergoods.
My name is Tina.
My business started about 5 years ago selling old college books. That turned into selling used books on Amazon. I now have shops on Amazon, Artfire, Ebay, and Etsy! I sell vintage goods, jewelry supplies, and handmade hemp jewelry.
I got my shop name from my childhood nichname Beanster. My father used to sing the song "Tina Beana Bo Beana Bannana Fanna Fo Fina" So I was Tina Beana also known as The Beanster.
I get inspiration from the past. I love vintage items. I love the 1960's and 70's fashion and music.

Want to be featured in my blog?

Once again, no blog feature this week becasue I havent been contacted.  But I will try to find someone.

I know, I slacked and didnt post the thursday treasury I made, didnt post a Friday, Monday or Tuesday post.  Well, my first day of classes was yesterday and its going to be awesome.  I'm good at English so my goal was an A, but my professor looks about my age (23, he can't be older than 30)  and he looks like he has an awesome personality, so I'm thinking this is going to be an easy A.  Then my Speach professor is really nice and I lucked out BIG time.  I hate giving speaches and everyone I know says that Speach class is horrible but my longest speach I have to give is 4 to 7 minutes, and we have little excersizes in between.  We only give 3 speaches.  I got a really easy class compared to most people, and theres only 20 people in my class.  So my NEW goal is an A (my old goal was a C, becasue I'm so terrified of public speaking)  Her goal is more getting over the fear than to just give speaches, which is a better for me.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Wendsdays blog feature: contempojewels

Todays blog feature is ContempoJewels!  Go check out her beautiful shop, and if you'd like to be next weeks blog feature, send me a message!

What inspired you to start your shop?
Well, I had been making jewelry for a while before I found etsy. I thought etsy was an interesting new outlet to try out.

How long have you been creating/selling?
I started making jewelry in 1999 and started selling a few months after that - you have to be able to pay for your habit.

What piece(s) are you most proud of?
I think I am proud of all of my work - on a daily basis I try to grow and perfect my designs.

If you could go anywhere for a week to sell your items, where would it be and why?
I would love to put my stuff in front of Sundance - they have some really amazing artists.

I was included in this woderful treasury today, so this is what I pick for my tuesday favorites!  ENJOY!

Todays shop spotlight: WendyBethCreations

Tell us a little about yourself and your shop:
I grew up on Drummond Island located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (U.P.). In school I was excelled at art, math, and computers. My senior year in high school I took an accounting course and won and award for my excellence in that class. That is when I decided to peruse a career in accounting Lake Superior State University (LSSU). Originally, I had planned to go to Sienna Heights College so I could also pursue fine and performing arts while I was doing the practical thing and getting my degree in accounting. Sadly, plans changed due to poor judgment. My boyfriend at the time was very upset about me being gone and said he could not handle me being that far away. After one week at Sienna, I came home to the U.P. to attend to LSSU giving up my dream of dual degrees. I still wish I could take that decision back sometimes.

What inspired you to start your shop?:
In October of 2008, I lost my corporate accounting job. If that was not enough I was also going through a bad break up from a very abusive poisonous relationship. I was very depressed and in need of something productive and satisfying to do. My friend suggested I start an Etsy shop. I had tons of jewelry making and sewing supplies so I started making some items to sell. I mostly made jewelry and other crafty items for friends and family when I couldn't afford presents for birthdays and holidays. My mom has always been a big fan of my jewelry and is a proud supporter of my work. I grew up with her doing custom painted signs, glasses, furniture, and watercolor for extra money. Since she is partly my inspiration for starting my shop, I also created an Etsy shop for her. www.etsy.com/shop/ArtofTheUP
I transitioned to floral hair pieces in the spring of 2009. I had been taking belly dance classes for exercise. I had created a costume including a floral hair comb for my first performance May 2009. I had lots of experience working with silk flowers from helping my mom with wedding flowers.

How long have you been creating/selling?:
I have been creating since I was little. I think my first watercolor painting that I painted when I was four still hangs in my grand parents old house. With my mom being an artist and stay at home mom, I grew up with art in my life. While I was looking for a job after college in 2001, I had made a few pieces of jewelry to try to sell it on eBay but that did not go well and I gave up quickly. Until I started my Etsy shop, I never tried seriously to sell anything I created. In addition to my Etsy shop, I have sold at some belly dance events and art shows. The first belly dance event I vended at I may not have sold much but I did meet one of my best customers, Tina Kingsbury. She now owns three of my fascinators, which are featured on her website www.tinarenamodel.com/credits.html under 'Elegant Art & Fantasty' & 'Beauty Shots'

What piece(s) are you most proud of?:
I am always most proud of a piece when I am teaching myself a new medium or technique and my first piece turns out very well.

www.etsy.com/listing/77618153/bohemian-floral-wood-burned-bracelet This is my first attempt to wooden burn on a bracelet. I think it turned out very well. I have wood burned one small pine boxes before but the rounded surface was a challenge

www.etsy.com/listing/64637599/blushing-butterfly-leather-barrette  This is my second leather tooling piece. I had found three butterfly leather barrette blanks on clearance at a craft store. I love butterflies so I bought them without any knowledge of tools to work with them. I mentioned to my mom that I had bought them and had no clue what to do with them. I asked her if she had and could tell me what to do. She actually had a set of tools and some old dyes from when she went to Wayne State for art. So she gave them to me. The first one I did already sold. This one is my favorite of the three. I have considered keeping it for myself. However, if I kept every piece I absolutely loved, I wouldn't have much to sell in my shop.

www.etsy.com/shop/WendyBethCreations?section_id=7796227 I am also very proud of my water bottle carriers because I made the pattern myself. My grandmother knitted and crochet. When she passed, I inherited all of her yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks.

I also I have some fascinators created with polymer clay skulls that I hand sculpted but those will not be posted until late August through October.

If you could go anywhere for a week to sell your items, where would it be and why?:
I would love to vend at a belly dance convention that Zoe Jakes is teaching workshops at. Zoe Jakes is my favorite belly dance performer. I would love to take a work shop from her. Also I dream of someday having one of my fascinators worn by her.

Anything else you'd like to include:
Just a few days ago I watched a movie about the life of J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. I saw a lot of similarities between her struggles and my own. I found it very inspirational. I have been feeling very discourage lately in everything including my creative pursuits. Learning about her life and success at the lowest point in her life has given me new hope for my own.

Wednesday Spotlight

So, this week's Wednesdays spotlight is bohemienneivy! Check out her shop at http://www.etsy.com/people/bohemienneivy

Here is what she had to say:

My name is Ivy, and I create bohemian jewelry with genuine gemstones and antiqued brass, sterling silver, and gold vermeil. Many of my creations are based on French medieval legends and Celtic folklore, because I am a French teacher as well as a jewelry designer and "couturière".

In addition to designing jewelry, I also create "Renaissance Denim Couture", the name I chose for my line of fashion because I give vintage denim new life with French "bohémienne" flair.

For my couture creations, I like to upcycle vintage denim by adding lace, silk, and velvet to give it a modern bohemian look that is ultra femme and chic, but edgy and daring, too. That is exactly what the French word "bohémienne" means, and it is why I named my shop, "Bohémienne Ivy".

I decided to open my shop last year when I finally started creating jewelry, after having wanted to do just that for at least five years. This year, I decided to develop my creativity even more by putting my sewing skills and designer ideas into creating "Renaissance Denim Couture".

I also love to make jewelry to match my jean skirts, so that my customers can get a total "bohémienne" look , all in my shop!

I am most proud of my "Belle Époque" jean skirt, because its design blends a uniquely beautiful mermaid jean skirt with ultra femme ruffles. The result is an exquisite, one of a kind jean skirt that is "très chic", and "très bohémienne"!

If I could go anywhere for a week to sell my items, it would be to the south of France to the city of Avignon, because every July that city comes alive with the Festival de Théâtre. Thousands of actors, dancers, and artists flock to Avignon for the Festival, each July, and I would LOVE to sell my "bohémienne" creations to such artistic souls who would really love the "chic", original style of my couture.

Latley

The past few weeks, I've been having fun making charm bracelets and non hemp necklaces.  Thw question is, do I sell them on Peppy and Belle, or make a new shop just for them?  I love my Peppy and Belle shop, bt I feel like my charm bracelets would get lost in the crowd.  What do you think?

Anyway, I added a coupon code for my shop, and it will be disabled the day after (Saturday July 16) my 1 year anniversy on Etsy.  Its BIRTHDAY1 and good for 20% off your order!

Partner in Necklace making

So, I made my Hanson symbol pendant into a hemp necklace.  Its orange and black twist, and looks pretty cool.  My boyfriend loved it, and wanted me to make him a tony steawrt necklace.  So I made him one, and now hes just coming up with ideas, and I'm buying supplies.  He says he wants to learn to make them so he can help me make them and sell them.  I really think its cute how interested he is in wanted to help me.

Other than that, I'm also a volunter on the trade a holics team.  Hopefully this will have a postive effect on my sales!

Hope everyone has a wonderful fourth of july.

RIP Peppy

So my sweet little Peppy died Sunday night.  I miss him so much!  But he was a feeder mouse and wasnt even suposed to live past the pet store.  I'm not going to lie, he was a mouse but the past few days have been hard on me.  Domino, the girl mouse I had in there with him, burried him, along with his toys and hid on the other side of the cage.  Thats what gave me the clue he was dead.  So I got her out, got all the other bedding out of the cage, and saw his tail.  Touched it, nothing.  So I didnt really uncover him, I couldnt bear it.  Also, I made enough movement that if he was alive, he would of moved.  So I dumped him into a box coffin I made him, and I'm going to burry him next to Belle in my back yard.

So, I'll miss you my little Pep.  You were the sweetest little mouse ever.  I'm gonig to miss holding you and petting you, and when I pet your stomach it looked like you were laughing.  I'll be keeping that memory with me.

Other than Peppy leaving this world, I have been making lots of bracelets.  I just need to get some beads to end them off with, then I'll be listing a bunch of new patchwork bracelets.

Have a good day everyone.

New Bracelet

So out of boredom, and searcing the internet, I was trying to find how to make a real, true friendship bracelet.  Unfortunally, I didnt like making it, mostly I didnt like how it looked so I just decided to wrap embrpidery floss around some hemp, no knots, and made myself a pretty new bracelet!

Soon to be sold in Peppy and Belle's etsy shop!

By the way, my internet explorer keeps telling me blogspot.com is an invalid URL.  Anyone else having this problem?

Hope everyone is well.

Eleven Monthes

Next month, it will be a year since I opened my Etsy shop.  What a year its been!  I looked back on some of my first items, and some of the same things I still sell, but the pictures, my descriptions, and tags have improved so much!  I have been making a few new items, but I think I will focus this month on editing my shop.  Fixing ALL of my pictures so theyre all PERFECT, spell checing everytthing, ect.  I want my shop to look perfect for its 1 year birthday.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it up even more, please let me know!  Thanks.

Been around

So May was a slow month for me, but a good one considering I had a lot going on.  I didnt spend too much time on my etsy shop, blog, facebook, ect.  But sales were better than expected for the lack of effort I put in to last month.  But this month will be better.  I've been busy with trying to get school stuff settled in for both me and my son, work, I got really sick for a few days, now a lot of stuff is taken care of and I have more free time.

I have also been looking for clothes.  My only problem is, I am broke.  No kidding, eaither.  My etsy money is seprate from my real money, so I'm not even going to tap into that.  Ebay is even more than I can afford.  So I do have a $15 dollar certificate for ebay (I bought for $7 on Groupon a while back), and a $20 certificate for Plato's closet (A retail shop around here, I also bought for $10 on Groupon).  Any other suggestions?

My biggest problem is all the clothes I still have!  I've sold some on Ebay, to make a little money to also go toward new clothes, but I seriously have 50 shirts and I wear them all, and like 20 pairs of pants and shorts and I wear them all.  But mostly, my clothes I have had since highschool, and its a sentimental value and I dont wanna let them go (even though I should).

I did break down and spend $60 on two pairs of new shoes from Rocketdog.com.  The joint sneakers, becasue they my favorite.  I cant find them in stores anymore, and my pair have holes in them.  I tapped them up long enough, and finally found two pairs on the website in my size (theyre ALWAYS out of my size) so I broke down and bought some.

So if any of you have any suggestions on where to buy cheap clothes online other than ebay, let me know!  Thanks.

Finally Back, I think...

So I'm finally back, for the moment being.  I've been busy trying to get a lot of stuff done.  I havent been doing much online, although I have gotten almost all my orders shipped out.

I took 2 out of 3 of my tests for college yesterday.  I got an 88 in reading, so I tested out of that, and a 91 on writting.  I just need to take math, which I am horrible at.  So wish me luck on that part.

Vacation was fun, and I am going to be working more hours to make a little more money.  Its going to suck considering I HATE my job, and I know I shouldn't stay at a job I hate but I kind of have no choice at the moment.  The fall should be a lot easier on me, and I will go job searching then.

Other than that, I am working on a few new bracelets, they should be up soon.  Have a good day everyone!

Tulsa, You know that you been on my mind...

Yeahm so my title is actually a Hanson song, except instead of Georgia I put Tulsa.  I am so excited to go to Tulsa tomorrow.  'm going to miss my baby boy much, but I will be back Sunday night.  I am going on a small budget, so hopefully I can get some new Hanson merch, do some shopping, and come home with a little bit of money.  Although I belive most of the money will be spend on gas.  Not fun.  Gas is 3.97 here!  So its def killin us to drive around here.  Luckily, gas is about .20 cheaper in Tulsa, but its still a 6 hour drive there.  I still need to pack tday, hoping to buy some new clothes while I'm there, come back a somewhat new Lacy.

Thats all for now, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Baby is officially 3

So my baby is officially 3, and since his birthday I havent had much time to be online.  I've been cleaning up the house, organizing his toys, and finding more stuff to sell on ebay.  And this weekend I'm going to Tulsa, Oklahoma to see Hanson.  Yay.  So I know I said this week I'd be blogging more, but it will have to wait til next week.  I will try to have interesting things to talk about when I return.

The past week

The past week has been busy busy busy!  Last thurdsday I was featured in about 10 lovely treasuries!  It did help my sales a bit, considering I was in a little slump, which is okay becasue I needed a break for a minute.

My babies birthday is tomorrow, hes going to be a whole 3 years old!  I need to take a picture of me and him while hes still two.  The past 3 years and 10 monthes have gone by so fast!  I still remember wqaddling around, all preggo.  Now, hes all grown up.  And the best news:  He starts pre school in August!  This is a special preschool, hes going to have 6 kids in his class with 6 teachers.  That will be good for him socially, O hope. Thats exciting and sad at the same time.  One, his therapists no longer come to the house once he starts pre school.  That could be hard on him, and me a little too at first, because I really enjoy his therapists.  Two:  I'm feeling old.  Yes, I am only 23 and I got pregnant young, but him growing up is making me realize I need to grow up too.  Its kind of sad.  So me and Blake will pretty much be starting school at the same time, which is okay becasue now whiles hes at school all days (9am to 4pm) I wont have to look for a baby sitter while I'm eaither at school or work.

Enough of my babbling, once this week is over and birthday stuff is over, I will have more time to work on my etsy shop and blog some more.  So have a good week everyone!

Treasury

Yes, I am aware this is my third post today.  But I made a beautiful bohemian style treasury and want to share it!  Click the picture to go to it.

Also, you see that bag in the corner?  I will probably buy a bag or two from her.  What do you guys think?  I have a New York bag in that style that my future step daughter wants when I'm done with it.  Shes going to be 9 in August, so I was thinking of buying her one for her Birthday.  That or a Monopoly game, becasue that is her favorite game.

Couple of minutes

So, I had a few spare minutes this morning, and decided to try and work with the pins I got.  I used some of my turquise, my coral and indian glass beads.

The blue one is indian glass, the red ones are coral and the orange and blue ones are round turquoise beads with dyed turquoise rondells.

Debating on what to do with them.  Sell them as pendants, earrings, neckalces, bracelets?  Or all?
Sorry the picture is so dark.  The lighting in my house is horrible and its so cold and wet outside.

Supplies

Yesterday I went to the store to buy some new supplies.  I got some head pins, some nylon coated stanless steel, and some tools.  So hopefully I will come up with something cool really soon!

I know, a boreing update but nothing else is new around here.  Just been cleaning out my room and listing stuff on ebay.  I need to get rid of a lot of stuff so I can hopefully move by the end of summer.

Time to catch up

Well, today was a busy day.  I woke up sick, really sick.  Probably from the stress I've been feeling the past few days.  I havent been sleeping well, mostly I havent been sleeping at all.  I got in a few hours all together last night, I kept dozing off, so I guess they were naps.  This morning I had a horrible headache and was really sick to my stomach.  But I guess I'm feeling a little better, and hoping to sleep tonight.

I had a productive day today though.  I made about 5 orders, one of which was a custom order with 4 items!  I made all except one order, and thats becasue it was an ebay order, the person ordered 3 bracelets and only paid for one, but I recieved payment today and am going to make it in a little bit.  I also made a diffrent ebay like a week or 2 ago, and listed clothes on there.  So I got some of that done, although I think I'm going to talk to my neighbor and see when she wants to have a yard sale, and talk to my boyfriends mom and see when she wants to have one.  We figure if all 3 of us have one together, it might be better since were all 3 neighbors.

I made myself a bracelet, I love it.  I think I'll list it on etsy to sell copies of it.  I used some of my aluminum jump rings, some small jump rings and one of my cool industial chic spacer bead things.  Also, it would make a really cool necklace if I were to get chain to add to it!

Its storming like crazy over here.  Hail and everything!  I'm going to catch up on reading some of my fav blogs, discover a new blog or 2, and maybe make a treasury.

Monday

So yesterday a lady asked me if I could make two patchwork bracelets for her grandson.  I stayed up all night making them for her, hopefully her grandson enjoys them!  One was a camo inspired bracelet, I really enjoyed making it.  It was a fun challenge to try to make something camoflauge inspired.  Heres a picture of how it turned out:

The other one was more like my other patchwork bracelets.  Have a great week everyone!

New findings

So today was stressful at work.  I really strongly dislike my manger.  I need a new job.  I really wanna work at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, a resale shop or a book store.  All would be ideal.  So today I to Michaels to look at supplies and help relieve some of my stress.  I wanna make diffrent jewelry.  Don't get me wrong, I love making hemp jewelry and macrame, but I need a change.

I found some colorful jump rings and some really cool bead type things.  Can't wait to find out what I create with these!

Earrings

So yesterday, I ran out of another important thing needed to make bracelets....beads.  I use beads to tie off almost all of my bracelets, and ran out.  On my way to the post office I stopped by walmart to get beads, and right next to them were earring hook things.  So I bought a pack, and have been making a few pairs of earrings.  Right now, they are all simple bc I dont have many supplies to make more complicated earrings.  Each pair will come with a set of clear earrings backings.  Let me know what you think!

Back in business...

So, I got a few orders all at once, and ran out of a couple of colors of hemp cord I needed.  Well, I got my hemp cord in the mail today, so hopefully I'll be making a trip to the post office tonight.

And this time, I don't know why I didn't think of it before, I looked at the brands of hemp cord I use.  I never really paid any attention before.  But I am going to start learning about all my materials I use, it might actually be useful, and help me make my products even better!

Easter Basket Special

So yesterday I didn't write.  It was however an eventful day.  My boyfriends pet snake (a red tail boa constrictor) which is about 6 ft long, decdied to bite him, in the face!  It was kind of scary really, and the snake still proceded to try to attack him after he was let go of.  I'm def glad it wasnt one of the kids that got attacked, but this has been one of my fears of him having a snake THAT big.  But he is okay, thankfully, and has decided not to keep the snake any longer.  I don't know what he is going to do with it, but yeah...no more snake.  That makes me feel a little better about moving in with him, too.

Yesterday I made a set of four bracelets.  They are my Easter Basket special.  A blue, a pink, a lavender, and a tye dye pastel bracelet, all for 10.00 + shipping.  Hopefully a couple of them will sell.  Order by April 20 (in the U.S.) to have them there by Easter!

Newest Treasury and tips on how to make a good treasury

Its me again.  I just made a new treasury, called girly girl.  I've been making a lot of treasurys latley, some turn out good with over 100 views and lots of comments, some not so good.  I just wanted to share tips on how to make an awesome treasury and how to promote it for newbies.

1.  Pick a theme.
Pick a theme for your treasury before you begin.  It may be hard, but once you pick a theme you will find so many great items to fit into your treasury that you wont have enough space to putthem all in.

2.  Pick great items.
Find some great items that pop off the screen.  And make sure the picture is clear.  There are some awesome items on etsy, but if the picture is not bright, clear and able to sell the item, its probably not going to look good in your treasury.

3. Tag your treasury.
At the side of the page, there are both popular treasury tags and popular item tags.  These can also be helpful to helping you pick your items.  The more popular tags you use, the better the chance of making a hot treasury.

4. Join teams.
There are lots and lots of teams on etsy!  There are some awesome Treasury teams too to promote.  I am part of a few treasury teams  Some require you to make so many treasurys a week, and feature members.  I'm in a treasury team that requires you to comment on the top 15 treasurys above yours in order to help promote treasurys.  These all work, too.

5. Stay active on Etsy.
Keep your shop fresh and stay active on the team fourms.  People are more likley to comment on your treasurys if you comment on other peoples treasurys too.

Hopefully this has help a few people.  And here is the link to my newest treasury:

Good luck everyone!

My work space

So I thought I would show you guys my work space, and ask if anyone has any suggestions.  I use a dresser to store my supplies, and the desk in my livingroom to make things.  I would like to be more organized, or have a whole new work space.  But I am planning on moving this summer, so hopefully I'll be able to create an awesome work space for myself.  But right now, I'm working with what I've got.

That green/white thing in the back is also filled with hemp.
That clear case has all my beads and charms in it.
My folder that I keep trace of all my sales and purchases in.

The second to bottom park of my book case keeps all my packaging supplies.

And my desk.  I use my laptop to start my picture editing process.  Then I finish editing on the home computer/list everything.

Not every exciting, I know.  But there you have it, the workstation of Peppy and Belles jewelry.

Friday Update

I know I keep saying this, but I'm really going to keep up with my blog now.  Last month sales were awesome, but so spuratic, and I think its becasue I neglected Facebook, my blog, and more importantly, I wasnt on Etsy as much.  So were going to ee what happens this month (even though last month was the month I made the most money!!)

I listed my jumpring bracelet today, along with two patchwork bracelets.  I will be making more soon.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend!

New Bracelet to be listed soon

So, last post I mentioned I got a pet rat, named Oreo, from my boyfriend.  Well, Heres a few pictures of him. <3

He's such a sweet little guy, and I'm looking forward to spending time with him!

Anyway, yesterday I made a bracelet.  This is my first bracelet that I made that wasnt made of hemp.  It was made with Jumprings, seed beads, and star spacer beads.  It took about an hour and a half, but I enjoyed making it.  I think I'll be making more bracelets in this style, if I get good feedback from it.
