Couple of minutes

So, I had a few spare minutes this morning, and decided to try and work with the pins I got.  I used some of my turquise, my coral and indian glass beads.

The blue one is indian glass, the red ones are coral and the orange and blue ones are round turquoise beads with dyed turquoise rondells.

Debating on what to do with them.  Sell them as pendants, earrings, neckalces, bracelets?  Or all?

Sorry the picture is so dark.  The lighting in my house is horrible and its so cold and wet outside.

Easter Basket Special

So yesterday I didn't write.  It was however an eventful day.  My boyfriends pet snake (a red tail boa constrictor) which is about 6 ft long, decdied to bite him, in the face!  It was kind of scary really, and the snake still proceded to try to attack him after he was let go of.  I'm def glad it wasnt one of the kids that got attacked, but this has been one of my fears of him having a snake THAT big.  But he is okay, thankfully, and has decided not to keep the snake any longer.  I don't know what he is going to do with it, but yeah...no more snake.  That makes me feel a little better about moving in with him, too. 

Yesterday I made a set of four bracelets.  They are my Easter Basket special.  A blue, a pink, a lavender, and a tye dye pastel bracelet, all for 10.00 + shipping.  Hopefully a couple of them will sell.  Order by April 20 (in the U.S.) to have them there by Easter!

New Bracelet to be listed soon

So, last post I mentioned I got a pet rat, named Oreo, from my boyfriend.  Well, Heres a few pictures of him. <3

He's such a sweet little guy, and I'm looking forward to spending time with him!

Anyway, yesterday I made a bracelet.  This is my first bracelet that I made that wasnt made of hemp.  It was made with Jumprings, seed beads, and star spacer beads.  It took about an hour and a half, but I enjoyed making it.  I think I'll be making more bracelets in this style, if I get good feedback from it.

Feeling Lazy

I feel like I've been getting lazier and lazier latley.  I don't know why.  Maybe its the rainy weather around here.  Although I have been going through stuff and packing, hoping to get to a resale shop soon so I can get rid of some stuff.  Need to make some extra money, as I plan on moving soon.

I made 3 embroidery bracelets today... light pink, purple and white.  I was going to list them, but I'm starting to think I'm going to make all my bracelets before I start to officially put my line of bracelets on etsy.  Although, I do have a few colors of them up at the moment here.

And even though I havent been listing much, I have been working on improving the look of my shop.  I have paint shop pro on my computer, so the pictures with the white backrounds I have been editing to actually make it a white backround, instead of shadows all around them.  They have been turning out really well and my bracelets have the appearance of popping off the page.

Spring Promo

Hey guys, hope everyone had a wonderful week.  The weather over here has been crazy.  I don't get it!  Last week was soooo warm, okay, low 70's but it was so nice and spring like!  But this week, this week has been bad.  Monday-Wensday it was Sunny, Warm, Windy, and Raining all at the same time!  Then yesterday, sleeting and raining, to end the night with a lot of snow.  It stopped snowing way early this morning, but it is still freezing outside!  How is the weather where your at?

Anyway, I joined the Trade-a-holics spring promo this year.  I've never done anything like this before, so this should be fun.  By mid march, we have to have our business cards/samples and stuff to this one girl, who is then going to seperate it all and send us all boxes of other peoples promos to hand out.  I can't really give away that many bracelets, so I am going to make a flyer with a promo code, a few pictures and a business card and send them out.

Hopefully everything has been going well with you guys.

I'm not quite sure why, but Blogspot was invalid to my computer all day yesterday.  Anyone else have that problem or was it just me?

Anyway, I posted about 5 new Patchwork hemp bracelets on etsy.  People keep looking at them and hearting them!  And I havent made any in a week or so, and have enough scraps to make about 7 or 8 of them.

But I will hold off and probably be working on my embroidery bracelets for the next week or so.  I have been dealing with hemp so much, I need a change.  Which is okay, right?

And on another note, I have been trying to find good, nice fitting clothes.  Anyone have any suggestions on where to shop?  All my old clothes are getting so old theyre falling apart, and I feel myself changing a little and want to look more...girly, in a way.  Not extremly girly but enough to fill this need of wanting to look nicer, while still having an edge.  Mostly, I need pants/Jeans.  I have a pair of girls pants from Old Navy, and I love them.  Unfortunally, the Old Navy up the street closed down.  So I have Gordmans I can walk to.

Treasury!

Whats up guys?  I'm ready for spring to be here, for sure!  I can't wait to spend time outside, take my son on walks, and well just not be cooped up inside anymore!

Revamp Tuesday (#4)

Okay, this weeks revamp is another major one.  I really like this one, I think its really cute.  The original bracelet was a spiral hemp bracelet with 5 orange dyed Jade nuggets on it.  It connected together with a loop and clasp closure.  I actually remember making the first one on a rainy day, and I had this idea.  Well my idea didnt turn out so well, but I tried to sell it anyway.  This bracelet actually got a couple of hearts.  It measured 6 inches.  I listed it for $7.

This new bracelet is made with a flat macrame design.  It has one jade nugget in the middle, surrounded by black hempp.  The base measures about 7 1/2 inches, but the length of this tie together bracelet is 14 inches.  I can make this in any size.  The jade nugget in the middle may vary.

Rabbit

So, the past few days have been crazy with orders!  From Etsy and Ebay!  It's been awesome, really.  I hope it keeps up.

I've been working on new stuff.  Good news is today it wasnt as cold, bad news was I didnt get time to go outside and take pictures.  And then we have more bad wheather on the way :(  Sometimes I wish my house wasnt so dark, it would be easier to take pictures and post new items.  But hopefully soon I will have fresh items in my shop :)

On Better news, As of Yesterday (the 16th) I am now the proud owner of a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit.  He is a cutie!  And I got him and his cage, food and bedding for FREE from a co worker that can no longer have him.  When Blake saw him he laughed and did this dance for the rabbit, so I decided to name him Ollie after the Bunny from The Wonder Pets.  The bad thing about him is, Peppy is MAD at me.  He wont let me hold him anymore.  He will warm up to having a rabbit around, I hope...

New item: Posted and Sold!

So I made this rainbow hemp bracelet woth beads and posted it earlier this week.  It sold last night!  So I will repost it, and hope to sell another one or two.

This bracelet was made with hand dyed Romanian Hemp that I bought from the seller Psysub.  I doubled it with waxed black hemp cord, and added 3 beads to it, with a loop and bead closure.

Tuesday Revamp (#3)

So this weeks revamp is the most diffrent than the other revamps.  I really LOVE it!  I need to get more charms so I can sell more than one of these.

The old one:
This was made with 1mm waxed black hemp.  This is in a spiral design with 3 guitars, then a 4th guitar for a loop and charm closure.  I didnt have jump rings at the time, so the charms were tied onto the hemp.

The revamp:

I love this.  I used waxed 1mm brown hemp and waxed 1mm brown/tan hemp for highlights.  This can actually be somewhat reversable.  This is no longer in a spiral pattern, and I added 4 brown beads for decoration.  I used brown hemp becasue most acoustic guitars are some sort of brown color. 

So, its snowing outside, and that is where I take all my pictures.  I had to take the pictures inside, so they don't look so well.  I won't put this on sale yet, I will wait to take better pictures before I put it up on etsy.  Hopefully by then, I will have more charms on the way or here already.

Random Mondays

Well, its snowing over here.  I'm not very fond of the snow.  Its so wet and cold and gets the bottoms of my pants wet.  Honestly, if it were warmer and it snowed, I wouldnt be so against the snow.  But I know it doesnt wwork that way, so I will keep myself inside until it stops snowing (Probably Thursday.)

So, I decided what to do with the blog.  I have made myself a schedule on what to write about.

Tuesday- Revamp day.  Until I am done revamping old items, I will be posting one revamp item and discussing the changes.  When I am done with that, I will work on taking new pictures of my older items and posting those pictures.

Wensday:  I will be promoting one Etsy shop a week.  These are the days that I will post the shop, a few items and maybe a little about the owner.

Thursday:  New items.  I will post one or two new items I've posted throughout the week, talk a little bit about them.  I'm hoping to post one new item a day but I wont post all of them on here.

Friday- My top 5 favorite things I've seen on Etsy for the week.  I guess this is also promotion but its kind of my own personal taste and favorite items.


Saturday and Sunday.  I probably wont update much since I work all days on the weekends.

Revamp #2

My second Revamp, which I redid last night and took pictures of today is my dragon bracelet.  It is a black Dragon bracelet, in the spiral pattern.  It measured about 7 1/2 inches.  The dragons stuck out every which way. 

Now:

I made it a little thicker, to be stronger.  The first one had 2 strands of 1mm hemp as the base, the revamp version has 4 strands of 1 mm hemp as the base.  I also added a gray strand to it, to give it a hint of color.  This is not an inch longer at 8 1/2 inches, making it almost the perfect size for an anklet.  Will make custom sizes.

Revamping

So, Looking back at my items, I have improved a lot.  I am going to be working on revamping some of my first items.   I started this process today, and wanted to show you one of the items I decided to redo!

First:  The music note car mirror decoration.

This has been up for 4 monthes, with 90 views, 3 hearts.  Not only has my work improved, so has my picture taking ability.  I think I made this in like February of last year, before I knew of Etsy, when I was just doing this becasue I was bored.  Its original intent was to be a bracelet, but at 9 inches didnt turn out that way.  I think it looks a lot better now!

Change

So I have been doing a lot of thing about stuff, I havent been writting much latley.  In highschool, and beyond writting was my therapy.  But the past 2 years, I have been slacymous kin.  I even started an LiveJournal with annymous writting to get my feelings out there, didnt work.  My personal LJ I just updated yesterday, but before that I hadnt writtin since April.  I have a notebook diary I started 2 years ago, I've filled up about 30 pages in two years.  So I need a change.

I know I write some personal stuff in here.  And I might continue that, but I started a new blog.  I'm going to try to update it daily, with anything.  It doesnt matter, I just need to do it like a habbit, for atleast a year.  I need to feel like me again.  Its located at http://www.xcreepiegirlx.blogspot.com/  so hopefully you will want to follow me and read some randomness.

Which leaves me with this blog.  I know I havent updated in a while, I had a boyfriend and spent a lot of time with him.  Well we pretty much broke up Sunday.  Its been kind of hard on me becasue I really care about him, but were going to stay friends.  So I will be on here and ETSY a lot more again.  I hope to make this blog a little more ETSY oriented than it has been.

I really love you guys.  Hopefully you all have a good New Years Eve/ New Years.  I will probably be on here, working on this, my other Blog, and etsy.  I hope to get a hair cut today, and dye my hair a new look for a new year.

Lacy

Almost thanksgiving!

So, I have once again been a hard core slacker.  In reality, I stopped writting my novel, it was the 3rd in the series, and...it just wasnt there yet.  I realized I need to edit my first 2 in order to write number 3.  So, epic fail on my part.  I knew I should of written about my cat and my mice!  Haha.

I have been spending like 4/7 nights over at my guys house.  Its been fun.  His kids really like me and Blake and Blake really likes them, so atleast Blake has has some kids to play with.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday.  My top 2.  It wasnt surgical (They were already grown in) so it was somewhat cheap!  Like $116 for 2 teeth, that was including Nitro gas!  Next tuesday my bottom two come out.  Those should be easier, becasue in all reality, my top 2 were decaying, and parts were missing.  I really thought they would of had to go in and cut them out.  But, it only took 5 minutes a tooth.  And I dont know, I wish I would of asked to keep my teeth, they looked horrifying!  Like, The roots were sooooo long, and curved!  If you turned them upside down, they really and truly looked like an animal tooth, kind of like a tiger tooth or something.  Yes, they were curved.  Other people said theres were long, but looked normal.  Maybe the way mine were was the reason I have been getting horrible headaches latley.  Other than my teeth looking horrible and wanting to get them fixed so I dont look ridiculus, my main reason for needing my wisdom teeth out NOW was becasue I was getting HORRIBLE headaches.  And yes, I KNOW it was from my wisdom teeth.

So, 2 of my wisdom teeth are gone.  I didn't get any meds for it, they just told me to take tylenol, which is okay becasue I wouldnt of taken the meds anyway.  I just avoided sneezing right now (they told me to bc the teeth go into your nasel cavity)  And it doesnt really hurt, in all reality, it itches like all heck.  But I cant itch my gums.  Other than that, I still cant really eat.  I ate a popsicle, but I'm getting hungry :(

End of October

So, sales were sucky this month.  Hopefully they will pick up next month.  I'm really hoping.

Tuesday my son had ab MRI done.  They were thinking he was possibly autistic, and wanted to see if there was anything on his brain.  He is very slowly devloped, I know know why.  He's 2 and a half and is just NOW into the babbling stage.  In the past 3 monthes he finally was able to climb up and down stairs, yeah.  Well I got the results back today.  The Neurologist said the scan was mostly normal, except for a pea sized dot on it.  He's not quite sure what it is, and says it doesnt explain Blakes delay.  But he also said that the dot wasn't anything to be concerned about just yet.  So now I'm confused, if theres nothing wrong really wrong with my child, then whats wrong with him?  So now he needs bloodwork done, to see if theres anthing that can be explained there.

Anyway, anyone doing anything special for Halloween?  We are going trick or treating.  I'm going to be a mummy, and blake is going to be a dragon.  It will be fun.

End of October

I found a whole bunch of unfinished bracelets I've been working on for a month or so, they only needed to add beads tothe end to finish.  So I Had to buy beads, even though I didnt want to buy anything else for the rest of the month.  Now, I have 16 bracelets that I need to photograpy and list on etsy!

I can't believe we are almost done with October.  This month was the fastest yet.  So crazy!  Are you dressing up for Halloween?  I am!  As what, I don't know, but I AM!  I always do.  I'm a big kid at heart.  Halloween is my favorite day.  At first, I was going to be Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and make Blake Jack...but I couldnt find any Jack Costumes in Blakes size, so next year, maybe?  Hopefully!  So he will probably be a dragon.  I need to get on the whole shopping for a costume thing.  I looked at Walmart yesterday, and they didn't have anything good.  So I need to find him a dragon costume.  And me, I will probably be a fairy or pixie again, although I should probably find something diffrent since I've been a fairy since I was like 18.

October

How is it already October?  I mean, seriously.  Over here, September was kind of cold.  Until the last week, when its been really nice.  I hope October is kind of warm this year.  I def can't wait til Halloween.

I made a total of $99.99 last month out of my $160 goal.  Gah.  Atleast I made that much, though.  I already spent $20 this month, on 100 Bubble wrap mailers.  That is the ONLY money I plan on spending on my shops except for the listing fee.  I have been selling a bit on ebay too, and they have free auction listing fee's until January so hopefully I will be able to list everything and sell a lot on there.

So, one more week until my give away is over.  I only have 3 participants at the moment.  I'm hoping to get to atleast 10.  So I will be working extremly hard to promote that until about Thursday.
